The Kelp Forest Foundation has been granted the status of Public Benefit Organisation (PBO or Dutch acronym: ‘ANBI’) by the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration in July 2021. In Netherlands, natural and legal persons making donations to a PBO may deduct their gifts from their Dutch income tax or corporate income tax. In order to qualify as a PBO a number of conditions must be met, among them a publication duty.
